An effective mask against COVID-19 was developed in cooperation with Marmara University and University College London

A reusable and transparent face mask with optimized airflow, effective against COVID-19, was developed in cooperation with Marmara University and University College London, in which Muhammet Emin Çam, one of our faculty members, was the co-author. While the world suffered from not being able to produce an effective and economical mask against COVID-19, this mask was produced by silicone molds without needing for electricity. Developing countries will be able to produce their masks with the help of this economical and easily produced ergonomic mask. The original research article entitled "A novel reusable anti-COVID-19 transparent face respirator with optimized airflow" containing detailed data on the mask developed was published in Bio-Design and Manufacturing (Effect value: 4.1, Q1).

Congratulations to Hussain Alenezi, Dr. Muhammet Emin Çam, and Prof. Mohan Ediresinghe for the publication.
