In our central research laboratory, comprehensive scientific work and projects can be conducted using various equipments as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), atomic absorption, ultraviolet spectrophotometer and auto titrator under the supervision of experienced specialists. Moreover laboratories prepare tissue cultures and produce distilled or deionized water.

 

 

 

Pharmaceutical Care Unit

Head of Unit: Prof.Dr. Mesut SANCAR 

The unit was established as the community health center to serve the students and the university’s staff . All applicants are advised about their drugs and given patient training within the context of Pharmaceutical Care Services. In 2007, the unit organised ‘’The Fourth National Patient Consultig Event’’ by the help of Ankara Pharmacist Association and AEO Youth Comission. Çiğdem Çakır who was our fourth grader took part in this quiz show and was awarded the first prize. The undergraduate trainees work as a student pharmacist in our pharmacy practice room which is amalgamated to Pharmaceutical Care Unit.

 

 

Pharmacoepidemiology Research Unit

Head of Unit: Prof.Dr.Levent KABASAKAL

 

It conducts research on pharmacoepidemiology with/without the assistance of collaborating scientist/the staff work for drug industry. It also provides consulting service.

 

 

Psychopharmacology Research Unit

Head of Unit: Prof.Dr.Feyza ARICIOĞLU

 

This unit does research on psychopharmacology with/without the assistance of collaborating scientist trained in various disciplines and also the unit deals out as a consulting service.

 

 

Pharmacogenetics / Genomic and Drug Safety Research Unit

Head of the unit: Dr.Öğr.Üy. Ayfer BECEREN

The main aim of the unit is to prevent adverse drug reactions, to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of drugs, to prevent therapeutic failures, to minimize the risk of drugs  by using pharmacogenetic/genomic biomarkers. Research is carried on pharmacovigilance and pharmacogenetics with/without the assistance of collaborating scientist trained in various disciplines and gives consulting service.

 

 

Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy Herbarium

Head of Unit: 

 

Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy Herbarium (International Code: MARE) has 11509 national and endemic collections of pressed and dried specimens mostly engaged in folk medicine. Since 1985, the herbarium has been built up over the years by the dedicated efforts of Prof.Dr.Ertan Tuzlacı, who is the head of pharmaceutical botany department.
